ESP 48th St Strat Upgrades

Finished my quarantine project today which was modifying my old ESP strat.

Body has been with the neck since the 80s and I never played it as I just don’t like the vintage trem or the single coils. I always loved the neck and the previous owner had upgraded frets to stainless, and even though I tried to move her a few times something always kept her around. Sure glad I did.

As of today problem solved and it Absolutley shreds. The Gotoh is a far superior trem to my floyd Rose, and couldn’t be more stoked (besides me fucking up the new decal oh well new one on the way).

Gotoh floyd solves a bunch of issues people have had and this keeps the springs locked in place. Overkill and overbuilt in every way.

I have always loved the old strat head ESP's. I would rock that!

I love gotoh Floyds. I have them on five of six Jacksons. I have OFR's on my Charvels and USA Soloist, and a Schaller on a Eclipse and a Jackson.

I am in the process of upgrading the blocks on the gotohs. Huge difference! All of the others have been done. The upgraded blocks on the gotohs are great!

I think it’s a BW That came with the OG Merrow guitars and honestly the only guitar I haven’t liked this pickup in. That being said debating if I’m gonna throw a JB in here or pony up for a BKP Nailbomb...
