ESP Kamikaze I tone sample

Hi guys,

So I've been spending some time with this Kamikaze I and really enjoying it. :) The Screamin Demon messes with my head, I don't mind it in this guitar but haven't had too much luck otherwise.

The lowish PAF output level really transfers the tone of the guitar through, for better or worse. :student:

I wouldn't mind getting another Kamikaze (or Tiger :) ) if I can find one at a good price point in good shape.

Had owned over 300 electrics thru the years (mostly collecting) and the Kami was always my favorite of them all. :yes:
Mine has a JB in it and its super thick sounding. Do a clip of that bad boy thru the Mesa. ;)

Always wanted a Kamikaze and finally had an opportunity to get one in good shape. I'll do a Triple Rec clip this weekend with it. :yes:

I have to ask, what is the quality like on the LTD version of the kami? Playability wise.

I've never played the LTD version so I can't comment on that sorry... :)

By request (it's a bit sloppy) here's a quick clip of the Kamikaze through a Triple Rectifier, pushed just a tad with a Maxon OD-9 :)

I bet in the room its very edgy and just crushes.
I never played the LTD either. But man do I love the Custom Shop ones.
Super heavy guitars with tone for days.
And ya I am a sucker for the Kami Graphics. :D
My all time favorite guitar ever since I first saw it back in the 80's. ;)
The high gain amps with the lower output pickups is money. :thumbsup:

the kamikaze sounds beefy and defined, love it! my buddy had a couple. they are maple bodies, yes? I like the tone of a maple body. my favorite is a maple body and ebony fretboard!!
 
My First Kami was one of the Pre mass production ones as well.
I remember pulling it out of the box. It was beat to shit....but damn if it didnt rip!! :rock:
