Alright. So, my current main guitar is an ESP LTD Viper 400. Mahogany body with a set thru maple neck and rosewood fret board. Currently I have a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck. I am pretty satisfied with the Jazz, but I am seeking other options mainly for the bridge and maybe the neck.

I am playing through the VH4 (2007 model about to be sent into Jens) with a VHT fatbottom 4x12 cab front loaded with P50E's.

So, suggest to me different bridge pickups that will work awesome in my guitar and sound bitchin' through my VH4. You can also suggest to me some really nice sounding neck pickups. I don't have deep funds right now, so nothing too crazy priced :)

I want to say the JB just does not agree with my guitar... :( I love Seymour Duncan's but I don't have enough money to try out a bunch of his pickups to see what works best...

Thanks :)

Oh and I know I said I love Seymour's, but I will try anything that will work out amazing in my guitar :)

Lower output pickups sound the best to my ears...

I love that video so much haha :) next amp: HAGEN!!!

I love the way that PRS sounds and the strat :)

What kind of pickups are in the PRS? Is Dragon the brand name or ?

Damn! Those sound awesome... PRS always sound really good to me :) as well as the Hagen haha.

How do you think a Seymour 59' in the bridge would sound? I am quite certain it is low output.

Best sound I get is sh-11 (custom custom) in my guitar. Sh-5 would be good too for a darker guitar. 4's have too much cut for my tastes and 6's compress too much with their higher output. It's weird but I've tried WCR, BKP Nailbombs, gibsons, emgs. I keep going back to sh-11 paired with a 59 or oddly enough a dimebucker in the neck.

I agree with Reza, clips please :) if you can :) just some quick ones. Mainly channel 3

So I think I will try the Seymour Duncan 59 in the bridge. Its output is like 8.13kOhms... that is pretty low and I heard it is super versatile even for heavy rock :) (that is my style I mainly play) if I could, I would get some Bare knuckle Emeralds, but those are to expensive for my budget and just would be probably just over kill for this average guitar haha..

I have clips of it in a mix if that helps you? I'll see if I can solo the guitar?

That would be awesome :)

Would you say they Sh-11 is high or medium output?

I want to try one low output Seymour D (the '59) one medium output (SH-?) And the high output one is the JB haha.

The guitar solo'd sounds a little weird because the sound was dialed in for the mix. I boosted it's level and muted all the other guitars for the 2nd clip. The first clip is the instrumental of the song so you can hear how it sits in the mix. It's the guitar sound thats cutting through all the other ones.

Cleans are all vh4 ch1 with the dimebucker in the neck.

I'd say its a fairly high output humbucker. It's dc resistance is 14.4k vs 16.6 for the distortion and 16.4 for the jb. Low would be the '59. medium I'd say 10-12k?

NO POST PROCESSING OR EQ.

sigal: guitar->head->cab->mic->micpre->interface.

Descried Mitosis clip 1 (kicks in @ 1:11)
Blueface / no other guitars

Again, it's really hard to make a full legit comparison via those clips because I was new to the pickup/head and the sound was dialed in for the song.

Wow dude! That is fucking rocking :) thank you so much for that. I have saved that too my phone cause I like it so much :)

I wonder what it is I don't like about the JB.. I thought it was cause it was way high output.. I may just be failing at EQ-ing it haha..

BareKnuckle if you can afford them. Choose pick that fits your style and how much output you want. They have LOTS of options.

Suhr also makes great pickups that have main options.
I would so do Bare Knuckles haha. I love the emeralds a lot, but at the moment they are too expensive for me and I think they would be better in a, well, better guitar :/

The JB has too much treble for most guitars in my opinion. You have to take measures to tame it. I don't like the frequency it cuts at. It doesn't work for me. Im telling you the SH11 for mahogany /maple capped guitars. SH5 for solid mahogany.

If you liked that dude, check out my band! I think our singer fits us perfectly. www.descried.com

That has got to be it. I mean, I admit, I don't understand that that kind of stuff (frequency and cutting). But, I know I can hear when something sounds not so good :D

I will try the SH-11 and the SH-5 :) I played a new PRS Studio today ($3,000 dollar guitar haha) and that sounded so amazing. I fell in love haha!

Checking out your band now :)
