Hey guys

I have an H3000 on loan that I'm considering buying. I noticed the patches won't scroll consecutively, like blocks of numbers will skip over, and I can't even dial in those missing numbers. Is this something a previous user has set or some sort of malfunction?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

Matt

Sounds like the scroll pot is either worn or dirty.
I would also suggest that you try to find a different unit for a guitar rig if you plan on using it for live situations. If you need instant patch changes the H3000 will not work well. It's better for studio use.
You should try to find a GTR4000 or an Eclipse. They are both designed for instant changes with no lag time between presets. They also have the "Stomp Box" feature which works just like regular pedals with a midi controller.
The H3000 sounds great, I just wouldn't use it live unless I only used one sound per song.

Hey RRHB

Thanks for the input! Turns out it wasn't a malfunction, it's just limited to certain presets due to the model it is. It's a broadcast version so it doesn't have many bells and whistles. It would have been strictly for the studio but to be honest it sounded dated to me and was pretty cumbersome. I'm definitely passing on it.

Maybe an Eclipse is in my future....

Cheers!

Unless they have updated the Eclipse, the one I owned still had lag when switching, enough to the point where I couldnt use it in a Serial loop.
