This thing is amazing.
Editing parameters in two H9s would make me want to throw them out the window. One is bad enough.I have noticed that the H9’s have dropped 30-40% value since the H90 is out now. How much better are the H90s vs 2xH9s.
I have an H90 on order, and I also have the Eclipse and an H9. As much as they touted the same algos on the H9 as the Eclipse, I have yet to match the verb I use in the Eclipse to the H9. There are some cool demos of the H90, but I am optimistic that it is going to overtake the Eclipse. I want it too so dont get me wrong!! LOL. I would love nothing more than to run a few pedals and ditch the rack. Sometimes more power in a unit doesnt necessarily equate to better tone, so we'll see.Id personally take an H90 over an eclipse which is the simplified version of the H3000. The H90 sounds damn good and I prefer the larger screen and the ability to edit and route. There’s nothing the eclipse itself provides unit sound wise like my PCM81 for example at least to my ears. The H90 is also fine as a stand-alone pedal or in a rack. Plus it can be used 4CM alone.
If I already had an eventide product then it’s hard to justify given the price, but given how great it sounds it’s hard for me to choose an eclipse over the H90. Remember the H90 offers new algorithms that the eclipse doesn’t have access to.
truth.Editing parameters in two H9s would make me want to throw them out the window. One is bad enough.
I’m going to call you after the honeymoon phase wears off and get your opinion on it. If you say it beats out the eclipse then it beats out the eclipse in my eyes case closed ?I have an H90 on order, and I also have the Eclipse and an H9. Big rack I have the Eclipse, PCM70, DSP 7000,TERC and a DBX. Small rack is the H9, bunch of other pedals and a spot for the H90. After the honeymoon wears off I think you should come up with YOUR amp and judge for yourself. One thing I've found over the years that not every piece of rack gear or pedal sounds quite the same in every amp. For years back in the 90's I couldnt find a better match than the Intellifex into my Mark IV. I will still stand by that statement even today. Hell, I 'll go over to my storage unit and pull out the other 15 or so rack pieces and we'll try out everything!! If anything would be a great shootout! Yeah I’d love to have an H90 pedal to complete my rack.

That is incorrect....the Eclipse is much more powerful than the H3000 and is a lot deeper unit.Eclipse which is the simplified version of the H3000.
which version of the intellifex we talkin' 'bout here? :curiosity rising:Big rack I have the Eclipse, PCM70, DSP 7000,TERC and a DBX. Original blackface. Bought it new and gigged hundreds of times. There was just something about it that just seemed to blend better than all the other all in one rack units throughout the 90's. Some years ago I wanted to load some sysex patches and couldnt find the parameter in the settings. Checked my LTD and it was in there but not in the blackface. Called Rocktron thinking i'm going nuts and spoke to an older tech. This apparently was one of the first batch of units released and did not have the option in it. No option to upgrade the firmware either. I doubt if that has any bearing on the sound of it, but I had no idea there were different versions of the original.which version of the intellifex we talkin' 'bout here? :curiosity rising:
