Awesome. I really like Eventide effects so I'm looking forward to seeing a good demo of this unit.

On sweet jebus,so much want. I remember getting the ultra-harmonizer back in the day. Months of learning what the parameters did, tweaking presets, just basically tripping out on what it could do. One of the coolest units to have in your rack, along with a 2290.

This new unit looks beautiful. Eventide is so good at designing things.

So this will do like why the UAD stuff does and connect to your interface but hands all the processing on the unit when recording and not tax your CPU?

Don't get me wrong if it shows up for the right price I will be all over this but aren't they about 5 years too late.

With all the digital units available today isn't this kind of a step backwards?

Probably to be honest. But, I still see guys on Gear Slutz talking about their up to $3K upgrades on older Orville units to get them up to H8000 spec, Eventide probably figured, "why not..."

not an expert but i dont think they are really comparable and not targeting the same audience - if you are talking about comparing to fractal, helix, etc?

Yeah, this is a $7000 dollar studio unit and not a guitar processor. There really hasn't been any releases in this class since the H8000 well over ten years ago, apart from maybe the Bricasti reverbs.

This more of a studio grade monster. I don't think it's too late but just filling a different niche. Very cool
