Hi

I just wouldn't mind some of your opinions on the above, the effects will be used just in a series effects loop, although I use effects all the time it's just a bit delay here or a bit reverb there (sometimes chorus or flange) but I rarely use more than 15% in a mix usually 10%.

I use delay the most but usually just a mono single delay.

As the above can do all the effects which one would you recommend.

I did have the g-major 1 (which broke) I liked the sound of it but there was a big drop in volume going from bypass to using it (it could be my error but at the time it didn't matter), does any one experience this.

I also had a rp500 which I tried once in between a pre and power amp just for effects, it didn't blow me away but that could be due to impedence issues using the preamp out in to the guitar in. Also on the GSP1101 is the delay level control essentially a mix control.

I did also have a timefactor which I liked but I noticed when it was in DSP bypass it was very transparent but if you engaged the effect there was a change to the dry signal, even if i had the mix on 100% dry, which if I do this I thought it should sound the same as the unit in DSP bypass, it was very slight but I did notice it.

I'm currently using an Axe-FX but I don't really like taking it as I need disconnect it all from where it sits at home put it in a rack etc, and its a bit overkill just to use a bit of delay etc.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers

I use a Gsp1101 for all of my effects and I love it. I also like the fact that if my tube amp blows up I can use the GSP as a backup and not have to lug a backup amp with me.

So my vote goes towards the Digitech. ;)

+2 for the gsp. I'm probably a bit biased though since I use the gsp for more than just effects. It's a great unit! I use the control2 along with it to control my rig. I'm sure the g major 2 would be just as good , maybe even better if just looking for effects.

If I didn't have so many effects pedals already, I'd get the GSP1101 out of those three and call it a day.
