That was the best place to get guitars and amps. their prices were great. during the 90s when a lot of the super strats were out of style hey were selling them for ridiculously low prices. They had hundreds of awesome used guitars and amps ALWAYS!! Their San Francisco shop was incredible, even better than the LA shop. I used to see guys from Japan go in there and buy 15 or 20 rare Les Pauls and Strats at a time. Those were the best guitar stores ever. Such good deals, most of the guys that worked there were super cool. I cant remember the Canadian bass players name, but he was a tour manager for Brian Jonestown Massacre sometimes. He was awesome to deal with. Its a shame that place is gone. I heard a number of stories why it closed. Mainly that the owner Chris was well off and decided to get out.

Anyone else ever go there???

BMM LA used to be great

now they pretty much just carry overpriced hacked up junk.

BMM LA still exists? wow, I thought they went out of business years ago!!

Man, I passed on a silverburst v (legitimate first run) that was hanging on the wall.

Some knucklehead had put a "custom" symmetrical pickguard on (drilled into the upper
wing).

They wanted $500.00. I'm still licking my wounds over that one...

Yea,where are they now??
Yeah, I'd like to know as well - the La Cienega store closed a million years ago and I hadn't heard that they'd re-opened elsewhere... There was Primitive Music in Burbank that a few of the BMM guys opened, but that closed as well.

Think fuzzy might be mistaken here, but happy to be proven wrong...

I bought a 70's silverburst flying V there I think it had a rolling stones sticker on the front. I bought and traded so much there. It was a candy store amazing. Chris gave me such good deals
