...makes a hellofa "hiss" when unplugged and gets louder as you turn it up.
Herbert gets delivered today, put it through it's paces, unplug the cord,,,,,,,,

DEAD SILENT

Now how the hell did that happen...lol
Pete, take a bow. Excellent build my friend.

I'm really finding alot of tones just from channel 2 alone.
Color me impressed, and giddy like a 3rd grader on summer vacation

cause the herbert is the greatest amp ever made ..dah lol

I had the same conclusion when I received my Einstein. Played a Boogie MK III and a Soldano HR50 before and both had plenty of hiss. The ground hiss control and Diezel FX loops are second to none.
Diezels (.) are world class tone machines.

If you mean the amp is silent when you unplug the cord from the amp, then it's because all Diezels have a built in mute circuit, when nothing is plugged in, the power section of the amp is muted. Related to this you will notice that you can't use any Diezel as power amps only without plugging something in the input jack

That´s right but the current versions need no cable on the input.

Still a great feature.
And for a channel switching high gainer, the Herbert doesn't make a lot of unwanted hiss plugged in.
