EVH 5150III Stealth / power soak

Anyone running a power soak with there 5150III Stealth ? Or any amp in general. I have my EVH on about 2 for volume at rehearsal. It sounds good at all volumes however when my band plays out and gets told to turn down I don't want any tone loss.

I own a Power Soak and ran it with a number of amps a few yrs back. I found it sucked some tone so I used a MXR 10 band eq when I used it.

The 5153 is biased quite cold like Soldanos, hence the aim is to have the poweramp section the least amount of coloration. This in theory means, almost everything happens at the preamp stage. I don't think any power soak or attenuation will benefit the sound unless you want to burn tubes and make everything super compressed.
