They have been readily available for between $599-$699 for quite a while now.

I have even seen a couple in perfect condition on GC used site for $529 in the past month.

personally i wont miss them at all.
I would never pay money for someone else's trademark guitar.
if they would have sold those under the charvel name with plain finishes
i would have been into them.
ironically the red/white /black and B/Y EVH's are closer to the old charvel design than the so cal and san dimas are.
single humbucker,one knob screams 80's Charvel!

there's only 57,000 on Ebay every day...

A rep from EVH refuted this rumor already. They are not being discontinued.
