I'm hoping to get an EVH Wolfgang Special (Left-Handed) when they are back in stock.

I have the EVH Striped Frankenstein (Left-Handed) and love it. I've heard the Wolfgangs are amazing. I'd love to drop $4K on an American but I wan tto make sure I like the feel first so I'm waiting to buy a Wolfgang Special MIM first.

Who here plays the Wolfgang? Your thought? And when are they gonna get EVH Wolfgangs bakc in stock?!

Pickled up a MIJ Wolfgang Special couple months back and absolutely love it!

Heard anything when stores/distributors are gonna get stock back in? So many models on "back order" for over a years now... including the (ONLY) Left-Handed model...

AAAAAAGH! ?

No idea. Go pick up a used one.

I can't bring myself to buy another after my experience buying and returning 2 turds.

The MIMs are just fine and an excellent value. I have a USA Stealth and MIM Wolfgang (Surf Green) and both are very comparable. For the money the MIM Wolfies are a steal.

Biggest difference between a WG special and the USA version, is the maple cap. And no, the WG Special with maple top is just a thin veneer which doesn't affect tone. The neck on the USA feels really unfinished. Neck shape is the same as the Special. USA Neck Pickup has an A3 magnet vs an A2 in the special.

I lucked out and bought 2 used USA models a few years ago. I really like them. I've only played one Special, and iirc, it felt and played almost the same. I think the neck felt slightly thicker, but otherwise I couldn't tell much of a difference in playability between the two.

Cool!

Thanks all!

Still... DAMN YOU FENDER for making only 1 Lefty for every 5OO,OOO,OOO right handed models!

MIM Special not same as USA. Frets, pickups, etc different.

MIJ and MIC used all USA parts and were exactly the same except the arched top vs flat on the MIJ/MIC, thickness of Mahogany cap and the 2 vs 9 ply binding or something like that.
