evm 12 and diezel herbert

Hi new to the forum i was wondering if anyone tried evm speakers with your herbert ? i did and it did not sound to good at first then i hooked a mxr 10 band through the loop and to my surprise a cut 2 bands on the mids and boosted 2 of the higher freqs and now i have a sound to die for imo just wondered if anyone else tried these speakers if you had no luck try an eq

I use EVM 12L black labels in a Marshall 1960b with my Herbert. It's the nastiest thing I've ever heard. I'm playing super low tuned death metal through it. No eq, just a boost to keep it tight.

I don't really have a way to record quality clips. I'm hoping to record a few tracks in a couple of months using this setup, so ill post those when I do.

Until then, I can tell you that this combo really allows me to take full advantage of the Herberts eq and gain. I have literally dimed the channel and master volumes, and there was no speaker breakup. It was very clear and defined. Super loud too. The EV's handle the low end incredibly well. The other cabs I've tried with the Herbert didn't.
