So i've got the EVM 12L Bug. I'm thinking about classics rather than the black labels. Trouble is, its dang hard to get the American made version (used) and i see they are made new in Mexico now. Is that good or bad?

So, if anyone has experience with both the 'mericans and the Mexican versions i'd appreciate your input!

Thanks!

While Mexican opinions may be valuable in the right context, I personally would go for the speaker.

Between hunting an old one down (and you never know if it's been reconed or what actual version it is) and getting a new one, I'd go for the new one. Now I've never compared both, but recently got a new one to install in a 1x12 cab. I'm most pleased. I use it with Fender amps for cleans or mild overdrive. I'll be buying another one soon. If Celestion can make good speakers in China, I'm pretty sure EV can make good ones in Mexico. More info needed on hypothetical QC issues

Thanks for the response.

I'm really just wanting to see if theres any need to be concerned over the quality of the older American versions over the new Mexican made ones.
