I bought a 85 explorer that is in the shop but I came across a cl ad for a 2019. It looks like the edges are sharper. It could be the angles of the pics or can someone comment if there has been a change.

85 was a few years before the reissues. Gibson made me the 2nd prototype about late 1989 / early 1990. The cut is slightly different on various models if you have them side by side.

There's a noticeable difference between the usual '76 and '58 reissue. I prefer the 58's which are a little bigger and less pointy. Those are the usual two styles, not sure if 85 is something different.

There haven't been any major dimension changes to the Ford Explorer across the years. The sharper edges you're seeing in the 2019 ad could definitely be due to the photo angles. Manufacturers often use strategic lighting and camera positions to emphasize certain design features.

For peace of mind, you can check out online resources that compare car dimensions by year. This will give you exact measurements to confirm if there are any slight variations between the 1985 and 2019 Explorers.
