I think they do this sale every year, but I missed it last year.

The expansions are all $40 off, too. I just picked it up and the Metal Machine pack for $70.

The upgrade to Superior Drummer 2.0 is another $99 right now, so you can get the full thing for $128.

EZDrummer & Metal Machine pack for $70 I just might have to hit the buy button myself

Thanks for the heads up

What a deal! Geez... Def Worth it, though I think you have to invest in Expansions to get EZ on par with Superior

Getting ready to order but does anyone know the difference between the Metal Machine pack and the Metal Head pack?

The Metalhead pack is the drummer from Meshuggah and some of his tracks. The Metal Machine pack is John Tempesta and mixed by Andy Sneap. I don't know any specifics beyond that, but I imagine both would be cool to have.

The Metal Machine one is supposed to be WAY better. Most people say that is the best sounding one for metal period.

I was going to buy it, and I really hate to pass this up, but I got a cheap Steven Slate program a few months ago that sounds pretty good and is serving the purpose I wanted (Decent sounding for sporadic recording and something to jam to...)

They also have the superior crossgrade for $100 so you can get both ez and sd for $130 which is a killer deal.

What's the difference in EZ and an expansion pack or two and Superior?

EZ and Expansion are for plug-n-play people. You just want to open it up and have good sounding drums with no fuss....

Superior is for people who want to tweak every little aspect of everything to get good drum sounds...

EZ is good but Superior is exactly what it is called......... superior. The sounds are WAY better as is the interface. It's not just tweaking, it is head and shoulders above EZ.
If you can afford to, buy both. They work really well with each other.

So, the samples are better, and perhaps some presets, and greater tweakability?

The EZ + Superior upgrade seems a pretty stellar deal. Is the upgrade to superior different from the regular superior? What do you mean when you say they "work well together"? Er, I guess, how do they "work together"?

The upgrade seems like a hell of a deal, but I don't think I can spring for it right now. Picked up two guitars in the last week, I need to stop spending money on myself this close to Christmas.

I'll probably kick myself for not upgrading later when it goes back up in price.

EZ drummer has a bunch of midi loops & drum kits. When you open Superior, it has access. Superior is waaay better in sound quality. Crossgrade is the same version

Way better samples especially cymbals..........way better tweakability........ compressors, room mikes from 3 famous (2 now defunct) studios. too many things to list. That being said, song construction is easier on EZ drummer and I still use EZ to get the initial skeleton
arrangement down and then switch to Superior.
