I know that everyone on forums loves to hack on bands that use them, but in all seriousness... if you could, would you?

If I wasn't setting them up...I'd use 16 of the fuckers!

I rather have girls in cages dancing ..... why is that not a option in the poll ?

The bodies would start to stink if you forgot them in a tractor trailer between gigs.

Hell, at most of the places I play, even one fullstack is overkill.

The pros do it why not. If that is the stage visual you are going for why not? 16 extra cabs = 64 speakers or about 700 lbs. Weight is money. It cuts touring costs and you will only throw mics on 1 or 2 anyways. Does anyone still use a wall of cabs? Didn't that burn out with the use of AquaNet? Wait... Iron Maiden

No kids aquanet is not a website.

Pantera, Van Halen, REO speedwagon, Racer X, Whitesnake, Kerry King, Rammstein to name a few.

Paul and Bruce used 9 cabinets each.

Kerry uses 6 cabinets, REO speedwagon uses 3 marshall 100 series cabinets with 3 backup slants.

i believe i just posted a Rammstein video where they use 12 cabinets or so.

extra cabinets are a waste of time for 99.9% of the guys here. no one here is pro-touring enough to condone it. and if you are, then you have the cash to hire man-power to setup real stage cabinets - even if they are props , loaded, or unloaded.

most of the guys who use prop cabinets dont own them - they are rented out for the show. i know of a few guys in NC that offer cabinet backline rentals for those larger shows.

i dunno about any of you guys, but i would hate storing and hauling un-needed gear - especially after a gig.

why on earth would anyone want to haul more fake cardboard cutouts, unloaded cabinets, or loaded cabinets not plugged in - if you are not going to use them for any benefit? if i had to worry about hauling anything it would be lighting effects, drum stages, etc before hauling fake cabinets.

No. It would mean more shit to lug on and off stage.

The way I see it, if you get to that point, you can afford people to carry it for you.

So hell yea, I'd throw some extra cabs up there. I'd rather them be real, of course

I havent seen em live, but might see em soon. Fuckin love immortal. And as far as technical shit goes, Immortal has a lot o black int it. Sorry blasted right now. Dont think there is anything they can do wrong except for a lady gaga cover, and even then Idl layghr.

I know Whitesnake use empty cabs and heads, Doug only uses two cabs and his heads are racked around the back, he often has 6-8 empty heads, powered by batteries to make the power button glow ;)

I'm liking this idea... I'd have to keep them in cages simply to keep them from escaping, though.

If I am going to use stage props its going to be oversized lava lamp things with dead fetuses floating inside them.

Do like Getty Lee of Rush does......... you want visual? Use a wall of tumbling dryers or a wall of chicken roasting ovens! LOL

How about the weirdo rock two-piece, Jucifier? They use a wall of cabinets and amplifiers, but they aren't fake at all.
