Famous guitarists who can't sing to save their life...
 
Uli Roth comes to mind as the worse of them all, but I don't know if he would be considered famous.
 
Haha! But some of those guys actually sing...

I meant, guys that won't open their mouth other than to answer an interview!

But, I guess we can add the bad singers to the list too!

Damn, I love Mark Knopfler's vocals and I though Izzy did some cool stuff on his solo material...oh well :confused:

I've gotta throw my vote toward Satch..."Big Bad Moon" was awful! Eric Johnson is a close second.

As for players who don't sing, George, Warren, and Jake jump out at me.
 
I forgot about Eric Johnson-he sounds like a girl. I used to hate Zakk, but I have to admit that his vocals sort of fit the music at least. I'm surprised there's Billy Corgan haters out there-he has a whiny voice but I can think of worse singers than him (and I also wouldn't consider him to be a famous guitar player anyway).
 
I'm not really inlove with Joe Perry singing songs,
Kirk Hammett sucks too, his background vocals are awful.
 
Jimi Hendrix: Lets just say singing wasn't his strong point.

Dude...no way....Johnson sings awesome! I really like his vocals...always have.

I really don't much care for Joe Bonamasa's vox(sorry if spelled wrong) but love his tones.

Agreed! Eric Johnsons vocals are great and his voice really suits his music too! :rock:
 
Slash! Other than screaming on a misifits cover he never touches the mic.
 
I LOVE this man....but has anyone else noticed Alex Lifeson's microphone mishandlings over the last decade?

For a while....he was pretty much faking singing. Like in 'Subdivisions'.....where a robotic sampled-voice says "Subdivisions". Alex would totally play it like HE was singing that. (& many other songs with sampled back-up vox)

Now....he's actually under the impression that he CAN sing. In more recent Rush shows, we see Alex hanging some absolutely horrible back-up vocals out there while the sampled voices are backing him up.

Again....I LOVE this guy!! (but he came to mind immediately on this one)
