WTF!...a Faustine DX2 attenuator just went for 2125.00 on ebay. Are these things that much better than a Rockcrusher? I know supply/demand...but damn.

Maybe a couple of guys sniping programs went nuts.

.

IDK it's much cheaper to rent a place you can play mad LOUD anytime you want, than a faustine...

Good point..

I'd opt for a contract on my problematic neighbors over that.

Seriously, someone has to start cloning that bad boy.....

Wasn't there supposed to be a Cameron Attenuator coming out earlier this year that was slated to be better than the Faustine?

Someone sent me the schematic, parts list and layout. I should go into business!

I dunno, you think I could get it?

Well, it's a penny less than the one that sold on ebay. I'd say that's a no. :)

I think it was John Suhr that looked at it and said he couldn't make it for 8 hundred.

$100 says even if you built it to spec with parts left over from the Faustine warehouse it would never measure up (so says TGP'ers). That's the problem with this sort of douchery, they pay a large sum for the sake of having "the one".

Huh.... based on what I've seen, I don't know why not...

Oh no you di-int!

Ah, the Phantom...one of the few pieces of gear I made a profit on. It wasn't any better then the Alex (which I kept) which was less than half the price. I'm sure the Rockcrusher would measure up too. But...it's unobtainium, and has a mythology behind it that just won't die.

Couldn't make it for $800 cost or couldn't sell it for $800??? Cause I highly doubt it would be $800 in parts to build bulk or even just build one for that matter.

We're talking selling - I believe he said something about if Tim was selling them direct the price should have been more like 12 - 13 hundred.

I think John even bought one of these things for himself at one point.
