I thought i would start a small box setting thread since there is a BE 100 thread

Pres: 5
bass: 8
Mid: 10
Treb: 5
Clean Volume: 6
BE volume: 4
Clean gain 7-10
BE gain 7-10 "usually on 10!"

Thats how i have it set going through my torpedo live with the friedman v30 ir or through my small box combo with the 65 creamback.

Still learning my smallbox and only had one gig. Here is where I'm at for band practice in a smallish room.

Pres: 6
bass: 5
Mid: 5
Treb: 5
Clean Volume: 4
BE volume: 3
Clean gain 8
BE gain 8

Try raising the bass it really changes the entire feel and sound of the amp

Great tip!
My new setting: Bass on 8 !

The manuals recommended settings are pretty much perfect for me.

My favorite settings (house friendly volumes):

Pres: 4-5
bass: 8-10
Mid: 4-6
Treb: 4-6
Clean Volume: 2,5
BE volume: 2
Clean gain 6-7
BE gain 8
Bright switch on (first level of brightness, not the highest one)

When I turn the volume up I usually need to reduce the bass and middle settings.

Yeah thats where the magic is for me to!

I think Dave's suggested settings sound great! Using the BE channel with my guitar volume anywhere from 6-8 is the perfect rhythm tone, roll it up for leads. I've been using a Klon for the Plexi channel and it sounds fantastic as well..... I've tried using my pedalboard with this amp but honestly the amp sounds fantastic with just the Klon in the front end and a Delay in the loop, less seems to be more with Dave's amps, IMO!

I would try the koko boost reloaded as well i liked it way more for the be ch than my klon clone. I have not found anything that is better for the plexi ch. than the klon.

I'm doing the same thing now. Almost no pedals since I got this amp.
Down to a clean boost (spark mini) out front and a delay in the loop

Thanks, I will research the koko boost..... I had exactly the same opinion, I didn't like the Klon in the BE channel at all. In the Plexi channel it's great!

Exactly the same opinion again! Every thing I tried seemed to take away from what I love about the Smallbox....

No drive pedals for me too! I have the footswitchable Sat Switch mod on mine, and it gives me even more gain and a third master volume. I just need a delay and I´m ready to go! This amp is incredible!

Koko Boost for both channels - for BE I like the non-reloaded even a tad better.

Wow, I guess I'm the only one that use all the EQ controls near to max. LOL

Presence: 3 O'Clock
Bass and Mids: Max
Treble: 2 O'Clock

I only use BE channel. Gain on 2 O'Clock and Master 2 depends... Usually on 2.. Very loud!

Cab: 1x12" V30

Who puts the bass on a Plexi based amp above noon??
Kills the mids and your lost in the mix o_O

Everything at noon, maybe bump mids to just above noon. Both gains at 2 o'clock boosted into front end with a Koko Mid boost and either a Tumnus or similar.
