IMO the two pieces of gear that impressed me the most at NAMM

were:

Ibanez AF105 Hollow body (played and sounded AMAAZING, it'll be my next guitar FOR SURE)

Ibanez TSA15H (TS9 based head) What an AWESOME little amp that sounded fucking GREAT.

i never thought of that... that is probably a pretty sweet amp.

I love the Ibanez Artcore stuff. Had mine for 4 years now, great guitar.

How much do they want for that TS amp?

Funny that you posted this. I'm not a Kirk Hammett fan and have never really got into ESP guitars but I thought this one looked great. I actually like the color and the body. I wouldn't mind trying one out. My 15 year old son loved it.

Being a TAG fanboy I thought these looked great:

Cool looking Bulldog with P series pickups:

Great looking color on this Drop Top (cool color change):

Damn, that's sweet! Nik Huber?

All the new stuff I'm excited about hasn't been released yet; those being the Diezel preamp, new Fractal unit, and rackmount POD HD.
But I have to say my interest is piqued after reading some of your guys' reviews on the Powerball II.

It's a Huber Orca. Nik was suppose to come to the shop Monday. I thought this was gonna be mine but never heard from him.

I tried that amp the other week in my local guitar store. They were asking 475 euros for the head and the 1x12 cab.
I am definitely going back soon when I have a bit of free cash to buy them both.
Really nice open tone, for blues, country, classic rock. I really loved it.. And for that price?!

I have very little GAS and too much gear and too little time to use it so NAMM was more of a "what's new" vs. a shopping preview or GAS generator. That said, a few things got my attention:

Not a big Gibson or Les Paul (guitar) fan, but I would dig this: (I am a Marc Bolan / T-Rex fan! )

Also, even though I have "better" gear, I still dig Zoom, this seems a bit limiting for a direct solution, but I need to see the detailed specs first to see if I can use this...still for the price, it would be a fun toy to have to join my G2.1Nu.

Also, the Zoom R8 multi-track recording / control surface / audio interface is interesting...need to see if the price point is low enough or I'll probably go for the R24.

man they're so expensive in Europe. In the US they're asking 299 and 399 for head and cab.

it's a AWESOME amp. I'm getting one for sure.

Im a metallica fan and i like kirks recorded stuff but i cant stand him live, i liked most of his solos till load, i think his playing in the last 10 years has been awful.

I really like this guitar and i would like to own one at some point, i have a kh2 relic and a kh3 and both of them sound and feel great. I owned a couple kh-20 and they was my favorite but they are just too expensive.

Seems like it's more or the less the same as in the US... (of course a bit more, because Europe is like that :D)
