I'm using a Mesa straight cab with 2 V30's X'd with 2 70th anniversary H30's and it sounds killer! The H30's are definately the dominate speakers here and are the ones I choose to mic.

I first tried my EInstein head with a standard Marshall 1960 B(Straight one) equipped with 4 Celestion G12T75 speakers.
I sounds ok, but definitately no killer sound. I changed the 4 speakers to Celestion V30s and what must I say, it destroys everything I heard before.
I heard in the past that Einstein loves the Vintage30s and I must say that this is true. A perfect combination.

I'm running mine into a Framus Dragon 4x12, birch ply with v30s. Sounds really good.
However, the Diezel front loaded 4x12 cab destroys everything, IMO. Don't have the cash for one of those right now!!

Hello,
no response but one question concerning that topic:
Does it make sense to mix speakers in a 2x12 cab? For example mixing a V30 with a Greenback or Heritage? Or is this only useful in a 4x12 cab?
Do you have experience?
