Favorite string guage for Charvel San Dimas

I bought used and it had lighter strings than I use and seemed to play faster before I switched to 10-52. Im new to the floyd world and I have it blocked for dive only right now. Is the only way to have less tension with a floyd is use lighter strings or make it floating?

uh.....are you selling the old strings?

It's all in the set up of the Floyd. You can leave it blocked and use heavier strings and get it feeling slinky or unblock and do the same. It's all trial and error.

I use 11-48 power slinky's tune down to Eb on mine. I love the feel and the tone out of those.
