A friend of mine was in town a while ago with his SSS strat. He was raving about removing the tone pot from the middle pickup. So that got me thinking about trying it. Been looking into different options. Here is a picture of my 3 strats.

Left one is a MIM with a BL L280 in the neck and middle, and a Seymour duncan hot rails in the bridge. The 2nd tone pot is a push-pull to change wiring of hot rails from series to parallel. Plan to make the 1st tone pot a push pull to add bridge pickup to all positions. All pots are 250k. Tone 1 is neck, tone 2 is middle and bridge.

Middle is a MIA with a suhr Flectch Landau set (not that middle is not RWRP). 2nd tone pot is a push pull to add bridge pickup. 1st Tone pot is a push pull to switch on and off the silent back plate. All pots are 250k. Tone 1 is neck, tone 2 is middle and bridge.

Right is a red MIA strat with a fender CS54 in the neck and middle and an anderson H2+ in bridge (picture is old, so its a JB in the picture). Has super switch wiring so SC's see 250k and humbucker see 500k. All pots are 500k. 2nd tone is a push pull pot that splits the bridge. 1st tone adds bridge pickup. Tone 1 is neck, tone 2 is middle and bridge.

Looking for opinions on other wiring options for the tone pots, see poll for all.

I am using all Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pros in my strat with a humbucker in the bridge, rwrp in the middle position and a tele neck pickup. I have it wired for Bridge volume (push/pull for splitting), Middle/Neck volume, and 1 master tone. I find a lot more usable tones for what I play than with the typical 1 vol, 2 tone setup.

I've played guitar for 30 years now and have never used the tone pot on any of the nearly 50 guitars that I've owned.
