I've google searched this but would like some input from anyone having firsthand experience in this dept.
Looking for a blackface or early silverface clone, not a "based upon" or "improved" interpretation, in a head and/or kit format.

Thanks!

Check out Marsh amps as well. They have kits and prebuilt amps, never tried one first had unfortunately.

What BF or SF amp do you have in mind exactly?

Nik's got a tweed kit. For what I'm looking for, he suggests his newest amp, Dumble clone Steel String Singer, not available in kit form yet, get yer money $$$$.

Ideally, would like a late 60's blackface super reverb or really early silverface super reverb that I can use with my existing cabs. No need for the 4x10 combo.

40-50 watts, not much bigger. 20-30 watts may not have enough head room at stage volumes.

Have you considered getting a SF Fender Bandmaster Reverb and tweaking it (ie blackfacing it and changing out the Output transformer to a bassman 4ohm or similar)? I have a '69 Fender Bandmaster Reverb that I blackfaced, still have the stock OT, really nice amp.

I built a mojotone vibrochamp. it sounded dead on. their clone kits are pretty good.
