Fender Strat Volume knob...What can be done to move it?

I am starting to dig my American Deluxe HSS Strat, now that I have changed pickups in it. (have a Duncan Distortion currently).
However, I have not, and am unsure if I ever will, get use to having the volume knob right next the High E string.
I bump into it, or simply find it annoying for the way I play.

Other than rewiring my entire pickguard and removing a tone control, and moving the Volume knob to another hole,
is there a replacement pickguard that has these holes moved around in a different configuration to solve these issues?

Get a pickguard with the pick ups, switch cut out and blank for vol/tone controls.
Then move them where they suit you best.

Well, you could keep the one you have, disconnect the annoying pot and then move your volume to another position. Then you could keep the regular Strat look and be rid of the problem. You would just have to give up one tone control.

I doubt there is going to be much room if you decide to get a new pickguard and realign the holes without maybe bunching all three close together.

You could also embrace your knob......become one with the knob.

I'm having the same issue with the Jim Root tele, first tele I really
like but the volume knob position sucks for me!!
Bad thing about it is that it's in the wood and not in a pickguard, I'm gonna
have to put something on/under the knob to tighten it up because I'm constantly
hitting it and turning it down because it turns so easly and freely.

Glad I'm not the only one!
Love my strat for that single coil tone, but find that I'm constantly turning the volume down while I play. It's not a problem picking, but any kind of rhythm work and I'm all over the place. Considered switching places with a tone knob, locking it down at 10 or getting a reconfigured pickguard. In the end, I'm just too damn lazy and don't play out with it like I used to. I kind of got used to doing a constant pinky check with it.

Always felt the same way and tried to do a couple of different things on my last build, finally settled on a master volume and master tone in the two normal tone positions and opted not to drill a hole for the "normal" volume pot location. It ended up being the simplest and cheapest way to get around the issue.

Yup, I'm in the same camp.
Haven't done it yet, but will eventually just forgo the middle pup tone knob and put the volume knob in that spot.
I only use the bridge and neck pups on my HSS anyways and never use the tones either.

Or, wire the volume pot backwards so that down is up and up is down. So, full clockwise is off and full counterclockwise is all the way up.

I love the volume knob right where it is. I constantly wrap my pinky around it to do volume swells. I'm also always riding the volume. Can't imagine it not being right there.
Can't stand other guitars for mostly this reason. It's the main reason I dumped my Telecaster.

I did this.
