Doctor Love
I'm so excited that I got to finally try out the most recorded guitar amp in history (so they say) - the Fender Deluxe Reverb! But wait, it's the Tonemaster version!?? Even better, I'm old and not super strong so I appreciate the lower weight.
But will it go full on like the tube version? Thanks to Earle Teat Music in Delmar and Dover, Delaware, we get to find out!
Have a great weekend!

My first tube amp was a red knob fender super 60....actually gigged with it in college. I was running the Scholz Rockman rack units into it. Redneck awesomeness....hard to beat that fender jangle....

Is that the one with the 6 10" speakers? I had the Scholz Rockman Distortion Generator that I ran into a little SS Fender Combo with an 8" speaker. Good times!

It had a single 12" fender special design speaker. Weighed a ton and was loud as fuck. No issues keeping up with the band. It went from zero to loud just looking at it. Plus I had 4 of those Scholz units. Distortion generator was one....some kind of delay unit, a chorus unit......also a sustainor unit as well. This is from like 1990 so my memory is a little suspect. I will have to look them up.

I don't need to watch the video to know it's another cheaply produced high profit piece of shit Fender amp cleverly marketed by appealing to a more glorious past as a company and will never live up to an actual Deluxe Reverb.

say what you want but Japetus has a little fender solid state bass amp with an 8" speaker that he has sent me a ton of clips on...and it sounds fuckin great.

Yeah they could rack mount side by side and those were the four units. I did a lot of recording with it in my 4 track days and every time I hear it, I'm like, yep, there it is. Highly identifiable

Yeah I had all four now that I think of it. I had a blue metal flake late 60's early 70's lespaul deluxe that we routed out for humbuckers....cause fuck it...back then they were a dime a dozen. I ran those things into that super 60 and it fuckin rawked. Clean stuff I usually just went with the fender's clean channel. I bought those things off a buddy in college for nothing. Like 50 bucks and a 1/4 of leaf. Got those units and a boss phaser. Now they are going for around 2k or so....hilarious.

I know. I remember selling mine in the 90's for like $175 and I thought I really made out on it.
