Looks like I might make a sale tomorrow. I'm debating on whether I want to get a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and a Suhr Riot pedal for gain (I'd start using the amp as a pedal platform) or a Jim Root terror. Thing is, I'm playing at home and recording. No gig work. I rarely go play with folks. What would you do? Advise is appreciated.

Do you plau clean at all? If not get the orange Jim root terror and consider getting a boost pedal with it.

I got a Fender Blues Deville and using clean channel for cleans obviously...it's divine...but then using Bogner Red pedal for gain through clean channel....once again...simply divine !!!...I also have a Mad Professor Golden Cello I use on the amps clean channel....I wish I'd done this years ago...works for me playing at home with low volume

I would vote for the Riot and Fender. More versatile and go from pristine clean to blues to hard rock.

I second a great clean tone a few excellent stomps.

I do most of my jamming thru a used cheap DSL100, great clean tone for me, and a Wampler Triple Wreck and Bogner Red.

Gets a great Rectifier, Marshall, XTC tone in a pretty simple setup.
