I really don't know where to start. But earlier today I took delivery of my new Fargen Olde 800. This amp has gone above and beyond my expectations. It is not simply a JCM800 clone. This amp is THE amp 
Features are: 25 watts from a pair of JJ EL34's, three JJ 12ax7's, effects loop, master volume, and 60's/70's/80's Decade feature. Between my single coil strat and my LP, I can go from plexi cleans to Ozzy-era Zakk. And this is even before I step on my Keeley modded SD-1 !
The Decade switch functions similarly to the "Gear" function on the Splawns. However, I have owned 2 Splawns and the Pro Mod/Competition doesn't even belong in the same ballpark IMO. The Splawns always came off as hard, gritty, and nasally to me. The Fargen sounds like an old Marshall pushed to its extremes. And this can be had at all volumes. Awesome sag and a throaty/snarly midrange that never sounds like a cocked wah. And the low end When I ordered the amp back in December, I never expected for it to have such a huge low end response. I put it through the Mojo cab in my sig with the bass dialed back to about half..........and still PLENTY of bass. Another thing that really sets it apart from a simple JCM800 clone is the smooth high end. I can't tell you how many amps I have owned where I had to roll the Presence back to 9 o'clock or less. This amp sounds good throughout the whole range of the knob. The effects loop is crystal clear and I don't have any noise/volume issues that I have experienced with other Marshally amps. And don't be fooled by the 25watt rating........its LOUD.
It is honestly hard for me to put in words how thankful I am to Ben at Fargen Amps. There are only a handful of medium/high gain amps that I haven't owned or played and I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
Don't worry........clips will definately be coming this weekend. For now I must go enjoy
