...and it was so easy, thanks to TGP dude "loocnmad".
1. Start with a clean slate. Un-solder all the internal connections and remove all the leads and the resistor.
2. Connect the jack's tip to the (+) side of the LED.
3. Connect the (-) side of the LED to an outer lug on the ftsw.
4. Connect the center lug of the ftsw to the jack's ring.
That's it. Now the LED lights up with the dirty channel. Yay!! This works with both 20w & 50w Runts (I own both).
Here's the completed re-wire, and yes, I replaced the Cliff jack with a standard 1/4"....
