So, I have been wanting another Deliverance or Sig for ages now. I unfortunately had to liquidate my VHT's a few years ago do to some personal issues.

Put up a few feeler threads on TGP, here, etc. Offered what I was willing to pay and got a response on each site. had offers of $950 for a D60 w/loop. Nope. Not a chance. Got an email from a dude on TGP for a D60, $675 shipped and didn't even ask for "gift". He warned me about the headshell being a home made thing. I expected some something HORRIBLE. This doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought. A friend sent me the name of a place that sells raw cabs and headshells and I already reached out to them. $139 for a new one so I will definitely do that.

I might sound shitty here but I got my old Sig for $1200 shipped and my D120 for $950. No way I would pay more than that for either amp. Not that they aren't worth it but it is more of a principal ting for me. I expected to wait a few weeks before finding one in my range so this was a pleasant surprise.

The white shit on the back of the chassis is sticker residue.A little Goo Gone will straighten it out. I am interested to use the Power Station for effects loop too!

Yay me!

Nice score!

...you know we would love to hear it too... :D
Oh I have plans my friend!

Going to set up both this and the Splawn and profile with with my 2x12's. This way the mic's will already be set up! Got in 2 new pics as well so I am doubly stoked. Also, a friend has offered to loan me his Pitbull 50CL for a week or two...

Nice man. D60 is one of those amps that haunts me, I see there's one for sale here but just can't swing it. For 1k or less it kills everything in that price range, new or used. Congrats!

Dude. I have had five or six amps come thru my band room in the last couple years easy. The d60 is the only one that has stayed. It's outlasted two good marshalls and a couple mesas now. Just a sick and surprisingly versatile amp. I boost it in less mode for high gain and roll off the volume and kill the boost for clean. It sounds great from clean to chunk.

I have been looking for D's and Sig's off and on for the last few years. I always loved the ones I had so to get the email from ol' boy last night I was stoked. Not sure how the 60 compares to the 120 in feel. I hear the 60 is a bit more aggressive and the 120 is a bit more open sounding. As long as the core tone is the same I am happy either way.

You know, when I had my D120, I never tried boosting it so that will definitely be something I fix this go around. Also nice to have the Power Station so I can add an effects loop without modding the amp.

I had both at the same time, and A/Bd'd them. The D60 was more open, modded Marshall to me and the D120 was thicker/more low end than anyone could want. I sold the D60 because I had other similar amps, and the 120 was a change. But ultimately I wished I had kept the 60, it was more my thing. Great amp! Very similar to an SLO in the articulation category, I had both side by side and got them very close....

Cool! Thanks for providing some insight on the 2.

i still think the 2nd channel on the Sig X is the baddest tone in the VHT line.
D60 is really close

I LOVED my Sig. I always said it copped about 95% of the favorite D120 I dialed in.

Here are some vids of my old amps

The audio on the Sig vid came out low so you may need to up your computer playback volume.

Sweet score, Jer!

I'm sure you could sell that headshell for a few, or use it for a cat scratch post or something

I actually recorded with it unboosted last summer, but like it better on the less side and boosted. The maxon gives it a small midhump as well so it sounds real marshally like that and with the boost off have a great ac/dc tone going on. I could go on about how much I love this amp. As mentioned above, the 120 is just crushing, but with the 60 I feel like I can use the master a little more and it really blooms around 10:00, and it still has plenty of low end. I love my dual rec but it never gets any play because of the vht.
Also, the white cab looks pretty cool. Maybe just finish it.
