Legendary U.S. metal band RIOT has revealed the cover artwork and track listing for its new album, "Immortal Soul", which will be released on October 21 in Japan via Marquee/Avalon; October 26 in Scandinavia; October 28 in Germany; Austria and Switzerland; October 31 in the rest of Europe; and November 22 in the U.S. and Canada through Steamhammer/SPV. The effort will be available as a limited digipack with two bonus tracks, double gatefold LP (colored blue vinyl) and regular jewel case.

There are plenty of albums with worse artwork than this (even theirs), I'm guessing since most bands don't make much money off cd sales anymore, they aren't going to spend a truckload of money on a Derek Riggs or Hugh Syme. The singer (Tony Moore) actually did it himself I read.

Fair call - although it doesnt cost THAT much for good artwork

And in saying that...everyone likes different stuff.

But yeah, i rerember the Dance Of Death fiasco with that cover

i guess if you've listened to them from the start i can see why

i got into them through thundersteel and that to me is an AMAZING album (love speed metal though )

Some bands evolve, Swords and Tequila is good but they have a lot of newer albums that are much better imo.

yeah, fair enough, would be weird to have grown up with the early RIOT and now they are like this.


Although, i guess some bands change, i mean look at Priest !! Painkiller is alot different to Sad Wings for example
