It would be a damn shame if Deep Purple finally gets in, a few months after Jon Lord's death.

Best case scenario:

Heart gets in and Alice in Chains join them onstage for Barracuda
Deep Purple gets in and we get to see Glen Hughes and Blackmore on stage together again doing "Burn".
Rush gets in and does YYZ
Public enemy get in and do unbelievable version of "Bring tha Noise" with Anthrax

 I see Rush next week again. They play YYZ near the end of the show.

Pubic Enemy or NWA in the R&R HOF?

jeez. the R&R HoF has become a joke

Totally agree.

And for the Record, Rush is awesome, I could care less if they are in the HoF or not.

Yeah it is about time and also Deep Purple. Why in the heck is PE and NWA even nominated? WTF!!!

This is the definition of Rock-n-Roll the to President and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation (Joel Peresman)
"The definition of 'rock and roll' means different things to different people, but as broad as the classifications may be, they all share a common love of the music," Peresman said. "This year we again proudly put forth a fantastic array of groups and artists that span the entire genre that is 'rock and roll.'"
Different things to different people? All share the love of music? . . . WTF

Maybe Metallica can get inducted to the country music HOF?

They have an organized effort to bring African American artists in. It is in the article on this topic in an ATL paper I was looking at during lunch

I hope pre 1990 Rush gets in. After that, eh. ;)

I hear what your saying but the new Rush album is very kick ass and been rockin the hell out of it lately....

About dam time Rush is reconized  NWA  WFT :gethim: That's insulting to Rock Music..that's not even southern blue's influence on rock

RUSH doesn't need a Rock & Roll HOF nomination, or induction, to solidify their position as some of the most talented and influential musicians and song writers of our time. I couldn't care less about the R&R HOF with respect to RUSH; love them - always have, always will.

I'll even forgive the "keyboard" years :D

Just my .02...

In the collective work, I like that song Marathon too. Some keyboards but a great guitar tone. Subdivisions was a great song. It was keys heavy, but is also resonated with every kid or outcast in the world.

Some of my fav Rush songs never get play. Lakeside Park. Classic cool song. Witchunt. Had the darkness captured perfectly. Had one of the best lyrics too.

Those who know, what's best for us,
Must rise and save us from ourselves...

If I were Rush or Deep Purple I might tell them to fuck off.

There are some great tracks on Roll The Bones, Counterparts, Test 4 Echo, Vapor Trails, Feedback, and Snakes & Arrows.
The latest release 'Clockwork Angels' is a Classic.

All released post 1990. Your loss dude

This is why Rush is untouchable. Such a diverse collection of material from '74 till present.

I love 90% of the 200 or so tracks they've recorded
