Just put some H30's in place of my 75's in my mojo 412. I wish I had not waited so long. Very big, thick, and crunchy with my quikrod!!

Thanks for the Gas, i have Heritage H30's in my cab and now i want some English V30's

Definitely want to try that combo, but I also don't want a 120w 4x12...

This is the first 120watt cab i've ever had and it's odd. what are some of the tonal problems associated with 120watt cabs? mine is the Marshall 1960BHW with 4 H30's

Not really any "tonal problems" with a 120 watt cab per se IMO. Just makes things real close when it comes to the power that some heads generate at high volume. I gigged with a 120 watt 4X12 for many years (4 silver label G12-30s) and never had any issues. But the heads I was using were 100 watts max. Put a 120 watt head on there and then push it... and maybe something blows?

Ok that makes sense now.

How's the efficiency of the H30s compared to V30s? Are they loud enough in the X pattern, or should they be stacked on top with the V30s on bottom?

To me they work great in an X as they blend very well.

The both speakers are within 1 or 2 db's of each other aren't they?

I just threw four Chinese G12T75's in the garbage yesterday. Must have come from my old Bogner cabs.

Damn Steve I thought you loved your tone on the darker side? I would have taken them! :D

Just played that combo at rehersal last night. The H30s' run up around the same volume as the V30s'. I'm running my cab with the GBs' on top but I did notice that I was hearing mainly GBs' so I'll try the X pattern. I've previously tried EVHGBs' and GB M25s' in the top, both were drowned out by the V30s' on the bottom.
Whats' the difference tone wise between the GB H30 and the 70th ann?

I have the same combination in my cab as well. I love it. It sounds great with my VHT UL, and it sounded great with my CCV when I had it. Although I should say that I actually have a pair of Eminence Zinky spec'd V30 clones (which do sound a bit rounder and darker than standard V30s) in it.
