The both speakers are within 1 or 2 db's of each other aren't they?
Yep!
Oh, well nevermind. I was under the assumption the H30s were significantly quieter. Thanks!

How close tone wise is the Peavey XXX speaker to the V30? Supposedly the XXX is a mellowed out V30, but I don't know how much truth there is to that statement.

It tries, but just isn't as "in yer face". Sounds flat in comparision. Not as lively.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I need to get my hands on a V30 then

Im about 90% sure im about to sell a V30, i will let you know

While not exactly the same, I did a few speaker comparison clips a little while back. V30s, Splawn SBs(Greenbackish) and Splawn BB(H30ish). I don't know how close a BB sounds to an actual H30 or how close a SB sounds to an actual Greenback, but I imagine they are probably in the ballpark. I could be wrong.  Recorded separately and in combinations.
I bet that combo sounds killer with your Splawn and DSL.

Just put some H30's in place of my 75's in my mojo 412. I wish I had not waited so long. Very big, thick, and crunchy with my quikrod!!

Try the V30 with G12K-100s, or Lynchback/V30, both sound even better.

I think V30s sound just fine alone however. :)

Did not really care for the G12K-100's though the Lynchbacks look interesting

I've yet to try this combo, sounds interesting

It smokes for high gain amps like the Engl Savage. I had this combo in a 2X12 and is sounded way better than straight V30s in the same cab. Tighter for sure!!!!

I'm thinking hard about yanking out a V30 in my Orange 212 for an H30 since everybody raves about those for the 5153.
