I have a busted gauge cluster on my car and needed to ship it off for repair. I checked the big 3 today for rates with the same size box/weight on all 3 to get it to Colorado. They were all right at $40. After I got it boxed up, padded, and ready for final taping, I got a much more accurate weight from my digital scale. It came in lighter than I guesstimated. Pirate Ship said it'd retail about $32 to ship it there, they were able to sell me a UPS label for just under $17 I could print out and affix to the box and drop off at the local UPS Store tomorrow. And since UPS closed all their depots, I would've likely had to pay over the $40ish if I had had the UPS Store process it for me to cover their overhead. So yeah, Pirate Ship saved me 50% or more. They go WAY overboard (pun intended) with the dumbass pirate theme, especially since I had to chat with them online to resolve an issue, but they saved me some money and I'm happy.
