Got a chance to buy a Jackson Broderick 7 for cheap. No markers though except side dots. Would u be able to get used to it?

yeah, it's easy. I can understand the trepidation but most of the time players just see the side dots anyway, not the face..

I don't use them but freak out when they're not there so I subconsciously must use them.

My custom tele is set up with no markers just side dots. Does not bother me at all

I had a Broderick and got used to it pretty quick, you shouldn't have too much of an issue.

I prefer no markers. Just side dots. I don't think I ever used the fretboard markers anyway even when I was starting out. Always went for the dots.

-SG GOTHIC-

-I prefer zero markers, fret board or binding, makes me play with my ears and not my eyes, my lying eyes have shitty tone-

As long as it has side dots I'm good to go.

I agree completely, the side markers are a quick reference crutch when needed.

My two main guitars lack top inlays. I think, especially for a rosewood, ebony, or other darker fretboards, it has a very classy, refined look--almost like an orchestral instrument. The only time I ever find myself wishing I had the inlays is when the other guitarist or the bassist are trying to figure out what I'm playing. That said, I'd miss having top dots but could probably get used to it pretty quickly. Only thing that would throw me off is switching between different guitars with different scale lengths in that regard.

For me I had no issue with a blank fret board, even few side dots as with a classical guitar but guitars with a headless design threw me off and took a while to get used to. YMMV

You'll get use to it pretty quick for the most part, though I occasionally will end up half a step flat and not realize what's wrong for a second or three...

I ordered all my main guitars have nekked fretboards. You will get used to it,but as stated showing riffs to your buds will become tedious.

If you've ever played a nylon string acoustic you've already done it.
