When I moved into my house, I really didn't have what I would consider a true music room. The room I was using later suffered damage to to a leaking a/c unit pan that caused part of the ceiling to fall in. I never got around to getting the room back up to snuff until now. I took vacation this whole week and got it done after 3+ years of net having a room. I have had everything in the living room up until this point. I akso start to do some acoustic treatment with some framed owens corning 703 acoustic panels covered in fabric. I plan on doing some additional panels in another color or pattern to compliment the room.

Thanks man. It's just standard lights. I do plan on some recessed lighting when I take vacation in November.

Nice! It looks like its decent in size also! My room was just a small bedroom that is now basically a storage unit!! :(

Very cool  Much nicer than my room. After I built my garage behind my house, I took the old car port in front and framed it in and insulated it and sided it. The interior is OSB walls and the original concrete from the driveway. I also added heat and AC. Might have to steal your idea with the acoustic panels. Cool!

The oc703 panels are better than the standard auralex foam, but I do not have enough to "soundproof" the room. It did help with the noise reflection in the mid and high frequencies. If that makes sense it help the sound inside the room more than outside. I am going to double the number of panels before I am done.

Looks nice an clean so far. Nicer than the 'Man Cave' I call my music room....
