Sir Elliott (140 lb, 5 year old Bullmastiff) couldn’t care less about fireworks when he was young, but at about 3 years, he started to pay attention. Now, he gets super agitated. He paces and when he is kenneled at night, he claws at his bed. I called the vet and got a prescription to calm him down. For the most part, it works, but I feel bad for him. He’s like a zombie the next morning. Pretty sure the F’n hillbillies in the neighborhood save their food stamps and trade for fireworks “Stereotypes exist for a reason”. 12 year old me loved fireworks. Middle-aged me wishes they were still outlawed.
