Hey guys,
Wanted to share some pics of my Suhr Standard. I got this guitar a few years ago and it was originally a Tobacco Burst over a Mahogany body. It looked really great but over time I have gotten really interested in drips and I just don't need to add another Standard. This one, being a H-H configuration, is my most "rock" guitar so I figured it would be a good candidate for a drip refin if Suhr would do it. Well, I reached out to them to see if they did refins and they said yes. So the next question was "which drip?" I love them all but was partial to the ice blue or the root beer. Then, I started thinking "whats another cool drip that doesnt exist yet?" Then, it dawned on me...Molten Lava Drip! So, I emailed Suhr my idea and sent them a pic of some lava over rocks I got from google image search. We went talked about the finish a bit to make sure they knew what I wanted and this is the result! I think its absolutely sick! Its a solid black base with metallic "molten lava" dripping down the guitar! Suhr took these shots and the guitar is on it way back to me. Big thanks to the guys at Suhr, especially Travis, for working with me on this one. I cant wait to see it in person!
