My first thought using this thing was kinda meh. I had seen all the videos that Ola and Merrow and Fluff had done, and I used their settings to try and get similiar results, to no avail. :aww:
Then I tried making a couple presets of how I like to mic cabs, and shit-eating grins ensued.

Heres the first complete thing that I've strung together. This thing rockzorz my cockzorz

Two guitars through my engl, rectifier cab on the left, diezel cab on the right, bass is through my engls clean channel with some dirt and the mesa 2x10 cab.

my kemper unit is getting dusty.

all i use is my amps and two notes.

i have the 101.

Sounds great!!! Now, Im REALLY fighting the GAS to pick up one of these units.

For live/club use plus home recording these things seem like a game changer. As others have mentioned, amps, pedals, modelers can all go through it. The Pete Thorn demo was very convincing.

Sounds sick!! Great tones! Did you treat it much?
Thanks dude! I did some slight eqing to the whole track when I "mastered" it. Nothing that I wouldn't do to tracks where I mic a cab.

Nice. keep thinking about picking one up, but I like the LIVE so much IDK :)

i had the torpedo live for a few weeks while i was waiting for my backordered 101.

i loved the live unit, had excellent amp feel response and sounded just like when i mike cabs for recording.

but i really love to blend mics.

i have been playing with the 101 for about a month now.

sounds like a record! the sounds available are awesome, i love blending mics and it was worth the added expense to me.
