Guys,

I just got the nova system, great unit. I connected the nova via midi but i cant get them to work together, any of you guys have experiance with the nova and midi amp switching?

The nova has the newest firmware installed.

I just need my channels 1,2 and 3 stored on the Nova and ill be set for a while.

If I remember correctly the Nova System sends PC messages only on the "user" banks. Not sure why is this, but that's what happened with mine.

as far as i know, the nova should be able to communicate with the herbert. I have both set for omni mode, midi goed from novas out to herberts in. Setup from nova: is omni mode, program changes out: on so now it should work, but maybe its user error.

Anyway thanks for the quick reply

As I said, try with the user presets, not with the factory ones. What I mean is, if you are on the factory bank and press the patch footswitches (1, 2, 3 etc) the Nova does NOT send the relevant program change messages to the Herbert (at least that's what mine did). As soon as I tried the same thing, but on the User bank, the receiveing unit worked perfect, receiving the 1, 2, 3 program changes or allowing me to program different program changes for each footswitch.

thanks, ill give it a try tonight.

All in all a great unit, the effects are really great.

i just tried the user banks, but it did not work for me.

i slected the effects i wanted, amp channel i wanted and stored the preset on a empty bank and number. BTW: the herbert is also in omi mode just like the nova. Would getting a g-switch help me?

mail to papa diezel. had the same problem with my v but a new chip did the trick... some weird midi commands of the nova irritates the diezel's midi-communication

mail sent. Peter already replyed, it could be the midi chip. Thanks for the help guys!

Did I get the email ?

Sorry, I´m confused these days

Yes, you already reply'd, thanks Peter.

Im bussy with work and get home to late to open the amp up and get it out of the shell, by that time im already in zombie mode

This weekend ill open the amp up

BTW: changing the chip, will i have to solder or just click?
