Hey Crew,

I have a live in flight case for my mesa dual rec. I just got the foam for a nice snug fit. Here is my question. What do you use to cut the shit clean???? I have 2 1/2 & 1 1/2 thick stock. Thanks and I look forward to your responses.

I know this sounds pretty ghetto but use a bread knife. It is serrated just enough and it will cut clean on a line, because the blade itself is thin and sharp.

Yep. As long as the blade is serrated. It slices right thru it. Clean cuts too.

Exactly, it's the same blade, I never have used the turkey knife even on my turkeys but, yeah the same thing.

+1 for Electric knife it’s how we carve large blocks at work. You can also use a hot knife (heated wire) but takes practice. If you mess up some fabric and 3M marine grade spray adhesive will cover your mistakes.

Put a piece of 1x or strip of plywood on top of foam and use it as a straight edge. Run you cutting device along the wood

Another for electric knife. I knew a guy who used to install foam and thats what they used to cut it.
