Legal immigrants are not concerned about their legal status. They don’t need anyone explaining to them what the bill means in the context of “Don’t worry, we’re not coming for you”, they’ve already got their legal status approved. These aren’t slackjawed yokels that need things explained to them, most of these people speak two languages fluently, are smarter than your average dumbass American and have long since navigated legal immigration issues in year’s past.

There seems to be some idea that illegal immigrants float into Florida then head right to DHS to pick up a fat stack of welfare. That’s not how it works down here but I don’t expect people who don’t live here and have never even spoken to an immigrant to understand it. The legal Cuban immigrant community that came here in the 70’s is well established, holding the majority of farmland south of Miami, predominantly in Hialeah. Where do you think the illegal immigrants go when they get here? Straight to those farms where they can earn enough money to buy their way into the country.

So when ICE starts coming for the illegal immigrants, they won’t be going to DHS to catch them as their signing up for welfare, they’re going to find them on farms where they either lucked out and found someone willing to hire them or they’re working for their family while earning their way into the country.

And now politicians are telling them “Oh don’t worry, it’s just identity politics, he’s not serious”, which will surely backfire when ICE shows up because ICE isn’t going to view it as just identity politics.

Personally, I care about my fellow humans. While I know there were a bunch of conservatives who trashed the Libertarian party, there are some of us who still remember what the party once meant; small government and maximum freedom. Some of ya’ll got hung up on freedumb somewhere along the way.

this two party system is broken, as predicted a long time ago. Don't see a way to change it though. Sad that americans are to fuckin lazy to work. Or find jobs they consider beneath them. The work ethic of people from my state was insane at one point. I baled hay all day as a kid for about 20 bucks a day and a PB sandwich for lunch. Now you can't get a fucker to hit a lick at a snake. Between meth, pills and booze....forget it. Find someone to do an odd job and they work for a day and hit you up for some cash for smokes or some drank.....you don't see them again for three days. Wished we had a home depot or lowes with a bunch of miho's wanting to work. Never met a lazy paisa the 22 years I dealt with them fuckers in federal prison. Still this illegal immigration issue needs fixed. It's outta control.
