I have a peavey wolfgang special that keeps breaking high e string right at the nut. I think this is the 3rd replacement nut from peavey I recieved. I guess it is a cheap knock off floyd.
Problem is there are recessed dots from the casting process and one of them is right where the locking block clamps down on that string. I file down any raised edge till smooth but there still is that recessed dot right there. After the filling the e string will start buzzing and I have to shim the nut up on that side.
Looking for a replacement nut. The wolfgang has a 16" radius and OFR nuts are 10" correct? Also the screw holes don't line up between the two. I can fill the existing holes in the neck and repilot them so thats not a big deal but would rather have something that fits correct. A nut that the strings don't cut grooves into would be nice also.

Any suggestions. I'm taking the nut to another local store to see what I can find locally later today. So far nothing fits.
Thanks for the help.

Aloha, Rob.

Schaller makes a 15" locking nut I believe.... It should be close enough.
