Anyone got any tips for cutting down noide due to the floyd rose arm?

I cant seem to keep the screw tight enought to stop it swinging freely and its creates unwanted noise, keeps coming loose?

This happens on both of my guitars...

Maybe try a shot of 3-1 oil to at least lubricate the arm to where it won't squeak, or make as much noise.

Thanks ill give that a go. Its no so much of a squeak. The noise is being picked up by the pickups and with high gain and becomes obvious. Should i buy a new arm and hopefully the screw thing will be a more snug fit. It seems to work its self loose.

What type of arm assembly do you have? New or Old
You can put a small SS washer between the allen screw and the lower arm housing if it's not tightening.
The old style arms don't have the cap screw.

Try some grease, works better than oil. But, buy an original German Schaller replacement arm and collar assembly. I found the Korean versions all wobble themselves loose more than the German version.
