Looks like Floyd Rose has moved production from Germany to the US. Interesting, story says it gives them greater control and prevents unapproved design changes. Sounds like the German manufacturer was making design changes on their own. I wonder if will see slightly different Floyd type models coming under a different name from the old German factory.

Schaller has already produced the OFR as the Lockmeister for many years, ever since the Floyd patents ran out. Same exact thing as it always was.

Majority of FR products is in Indo / Jina.
USA FR = $600+ trems get ready.

Yeah the Lockmeister is Schaller's take on the "original" Floyd Rose since Floyd Rose took back production into the US.

I have a US Floyd that I didn't end up using. It looks beautiful. The nickel plate is good; all the edges are crisp; and the fine tuners are smooth. The German ones are nice too, but the look of the US one somehow stands out.

The Lockmeister has been out for well over ten years, and also sold to Floyd as the OFR.

This happened well before they announced it, the US ones are great. At this point the only thing Schaller has going for it are the different radius nuts, and I think Floyd is coming out with those soon too.

I'll take a Gotoh 1996T all day long. I'd like to see more companies use them, I don't understand why they don't. It cuts cost, (aside from the cheap-ass 1000 series that's inconsistent - could get a good one, could get garbage).

Germany is fucked, broke, no energy and full of muzzies.

Not a surprise.

My new Ultra Luxe Stratocaster has one, I did not notice any difference.

Got that right im so over $400 dollar FR's. FR is totally going to price themselves out of the market.
