I’m pretty anal about keeping my guitars in tune. I have this one guitar with a vintage trem and locking tuners, but it just wont stay in tune, especially if I use the trem. So I’m thinking about getting a Floyd rose. Could I get a recommendation on someone who could retrofit a floyd and locking nut onto my guitar?

What guitar specifically? Yes vintage trems do go out of tune, but I have been to get around that before by cutting a tusq nut. Just a thought. Or if you don't need to pull up, get a trem stopper and tighten the springs and you will stay in tune. Just two quick thoughts.

Yup, Lee at GMW if you want it done the right way.

It's a Sterling James Valentine. Thin ash body, Roasted maple neck. Its got a Duncan Distortion in the bridge and a GFS Lipstick humbucker in the neck. The guitar plays, feels, and records really well, but it goes out of tune.I had either thought of selling it and buying an ash Charvel or having it modded with a FR.
