awesome for sure!

have heard that he doesn't like to mess with shipping overseas?

can anyone confirm?

Very impressive. clear and articulate, cleans up really well rolling off. really nice lead tone on both pups. Nice gain structure, not the most I've heard, but great quality gain. Actually sounds similar to Dave's HBE mod, with slightly less bottom. Much less with the FAT option
Very nice
Never heard of that guy, he does great work
Modded Marshall nerds?

Sounds great, would love to try one as I have heard great things about Tommy's work.

Good sounding clip. Never heard of a Marshall Mark V before though

Tommy Folkesson has modded Marshall's (and other amps) since the 80's and could be considerd our José or Caswell in terms of when he started, but more Friedman and Fortin when it comes to sound and mod quality. He's modded amps for Harry Cody (you can hear his Marshall 50w on Shotgun Messiah's "Second Coming), Kee Marchello (Europe's "Out of this world") and many more.

His different evolutions of the mods is named "Mark", and the latest is Mark V.
I owned one in the 90's (Mark III i think) and it was a great sound. I would love to hear it now, when I 've gone through so many more amps and have better reference, still the new Mark V mod sounds as good as many of the international heavy hitters mod's I have heard.

He has received a lot of flack for messing up old Plexis and other vintage amps in the past, but as he says: "In those days a plexi could be had for $400. they where not considered "vintage" and peolpe would beg me to modify them" Suffice to say he doesn't mod old amps anymore :-)
I'm not sure about the international shipping thing, but I could check with him.

Here's a link to Tommy's web page ( all in Swedish I'm affraid):

looks like a Gibson doublecut
might be an Anderson pup in the bridge, hard to tell. the pole pieces look larger than normal.
the neck pup sounds fantastic
