Hi everyone,

I posted last week seeking feedback on my single "Haunted." I'm back with the next track from the same project, and I would be honored to get this community's expert opinion, specifically on the vocal production.

Quick recap: the entire EP was recorded in my car on lunch breaks. The vocals for this new single, "Power Over You," were tracked in the back seat using a MOTU preamp, a Michael Joly modded Oktava mic, a Stedman filter, and a simple Neewer isolation shield. The goal was to overcome the obvious challenges of a highly reflective, non-sound-treated environment.

The project was then mixed by Matt Dougherty (Megadeth, Disturbed), and the final vocals have been praised by outlets like We Write About Music for their "undeniably melodic, impassioned, and soaring... clarity."

But I am most interested in your take. Did we succeed in capturing a professional, studio-quality vocal sound in a car? I'd love to hear your feedback on the vocal chain, the mix, and any tell-tale signs of the unconventional recording space.

I can provide the fully isolated vocal track if anyone is interested in a deep dive. Thanks for listening and for all the incredible knowledge in this forum.
